Howdy again! Just thought I'd give another update. I am now official part-owner of Knightfall Games in Beaverton, OR. I'm in charge of the entire web-site and e-commerce. You can go there now, or my Portfolio to see the work I've been doing on it. I haven't given up on this site, or Advanced Chiropractics, I just have to put a lot of time in to one project right now. E-carts aren't easy after all. I've also officially dropped out of college, as I got very, very tired of PCC messing things up on a constant basis.
I've decided that, when I have time, I might actually turn this site in to a (much prettier) WordPress blog. WordPress is a wonderful tool for blogging web-sites. For anything else however, it's like pulling teeth. They have literally thousands of plugins that can help you with any manner of thing you might want on your website. E-commerce is not one of them. I have spent the entire last month struggling with their WP e-Commerce plugin, and their increadible lack of any kind of support. The only response I got from anyone in WordPress or on GetShopped itself was either other customers trying to figure stuff out for themselves, or one taciturn forum mod who locked my help-thread without response or explanation. After a while I moved on to Cart66 Lite which is much, much easier to work with. The creator of Cart66 itself actually came to me on Twitter and suggested I use his plugin instead of the e-Commerce plugin I had been struggling with for a month now. I moved plugins, and found that Cart66 Lite is multitudes easier to work with. Unlike e-Commerce, I was able to actually customize the look of my store, my products, and it was just organized so much better. The problem then came where I hit a road-block in the form of a malfunctioning Checkout button. Since I had only the free version of Cart66, I was unable to actually go to their web site for support. After waiting a few days for my thread on the WordPress Plugins forum to be answered or my many tweets to the creator, I just gave up and went with the much more complicated and work-heavy PayPal merchant tools. It's going to take a signifigant amount of work for every item I wish to add to the KFG Store but well worth it in the end.

Happy New Years!
Several new things are happening for New Years. For one, I've been given the immense oppurtinity to be part-owner of Knightfall Games, and have already taken over as Webmaster. It is a huge opportunity and position, and will most likely take up a good amount of my time in the future. This, along with still finishing up Advanced Chiropractics, and school, means that my docket is FULL. So, from me, Happy New Years, and may your 2012 not be filled with apocalypses!

Happy Seasons everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted. I've been kept busy with finals, moving to my new location in Beaverton, and happening new business! I have a friend of my fiance's who is looking to set up a new Table-Top Gaming Store in a local area. The factors of prime location, target market, distributors, location zoning codes, not to mention finding financiers, tends to take up a lot of free time for my own investments (see: This Or Any Other Website). New news when I have it!

I've returned from Orycon and it was, as expected, amazing. I met a lot of new people, handed out a lot of business cards, and chances are if you're here right now it's because of those too-expensive little bits of cardboard. I'm still working on setting up the rest of the web site (for example the new Twitter feed on your right) but hopefully soon I can begin actually handing out advice. I will, as the mood hits me, add thoughts on business and web development to the Twitter. Remember though that every business, endeavor, and creative project is different, and must be handled a different way. Advice that may help in one situation may not be helpful in another. Your best bet is to always e-mail me, or, when I have it set up, ask on the forum to see if any other members might have some ideas.

The main web site is launched! I've been putting this off for far too long, but with Orycon coming up this weekend, I figure I should at least have something here. So, for those of you that I give a business card to this weekend: Please don't be disappointed, what with school and the other sites I'm working on, sadly my own web site was put on the back-burner. I have only finished the News and Portfolio pages right now to give an idea of what I can do. The rest will have to be completed when I have more time.
